The study of global affairs addresses how states and non-state actors interact with one another on a worldwide scale. Students develop a sophisticated understanding of the complex issues facing our globalizing world including terrorism, refugee crises, international conflict, economic cooperation and collaboration, and health and environmental challenges. Core courses provide a strong knowledge foundation of global processes, and the choice of a thematic or regional concentration allows majors to tailor their degrees to meet their interests and career goals. The program offers opportunities to engage in study abroad and internships, and students are encouraged to complement their major with a second major or minor.
